23-Year-Old Guy Buys Apartment With His Dead Wife's Life Insurance, Says It Was All Worth It

The subreddit r/MaleLivingSpaces is a desolate place filled to the brim with scantily furnished shacks occupied by the classic TV, chair, mini-fridge, and air mattress combo.

So when the dudes of the subreddit stumbled across a 23-year-old asking about decoration advice for his beautiful bachelor pad, they had only one question. How could he afford it? The answer was, unfortunately, with the life insurance policy of his now-deceased wife.

Except, he didn't seem the least bit sad about it. "The place makes it worth it," he wrote.

Some users even grew suspicious of murder, with the life insurance money as a motive. However, it sounds like it was all just a bad joke.

"That’s my dark humor," he said. Let's hope that's the only thing that's dark.
